Coasteering is an exciting activity that involves exploring a section of coastline on foot. The session will include swimming in the sea and scrambling along rocks. There will be opportunities to swim into sea caves and tunnels as well as jumping into the sea from various ledges. Our coasteering sessions happen at locations around Anglesey and Llŷn Peninsula.

Once we have received your booking we will contact you to to arrange the most suitable venue. We will need to consider lots of things including group members abilities and ages, the weather and sea conditions.

  • Venues - Morfa Nefyn, Porthdafarch Porth Ruffydd.
  • Minimum age - 8 years old. We advise that primary school children are accompanied by another family member/guardian or friend over 18 years old.
  • Swimming ability - Useful but not vital
  • Equipment you need to bring - swim wear, old pair of trainers, baggy shorts, and a towel
  • Activity duration - 3 hours
  • Session start times - 0930 and 1330
  • Cost - £40 per person, per session

Spectators are welcome but are responsible for their own safety.

Gorge Scrambling involves exploring a fresh water mountain river on foot. As you pass through impressive scenery you will have opportunities to climb and scramble over boulders as well as swimming and splashing in rock pools and waterfalls. You will be guided along by a qualified instructor who will look after you and make sure you get the most out of the session.

Paddle boarding is a great way to take to the water. The perspective you get from a paddle board combined with the feeling of freedom makes for a unique experience. During our introductory sessions we will cover the basic skills needed to get you on the water and moving around. We will introduce you to any specialist clothing and equipment and explain how it all works. We will introduce you to new skills in a progressive manner with the aim of getting you up on your feet and confidently paddling around.

The session will take place on Llyn Padarn in Llanberis. Please come and meet us in the shop. There is a large car park next to our shop at LL55 4EL.

Our paddle boarding progression activity is aimed at people who are confident at paddle boarding on flat water. With these sessions, our aim is to get you out on the sea or on some moving water. The sessions will usually be run on the North Wales coastline or on the Menai Straits. As part of the session we cover additional considerations for paddling on moving water or on the sea. We may also look at things like group management and rescue skills.

  • Minimum age - 16 years old.
  • Swimming ability - Useful but not vital
  • Equipment you need to bring - swim wear, old pair of trainers, and a towel.
  • Activity duration - 6 hours
  • Session start times - 0930
  • Cost - £70 per person, per session

Our fun introductory sessions will cover the basic skills needed to get you on the water and moving around. We will discuss the specialist clothing and equipment and explain how it all works. We will introduce you to new skills in a progressive manner with the aim of getting you confidently paddling around under your own steam.

During this session we focus on the necessary skills for paddling in flowing water. We discuss and demonstrate a range of techniques that will allow you to make the move form still water to flowing rivers. You will be looked after by a qualified kayaking coach who will ensure you get the most from the session. If you are looking to gain more confidence in a kayak or you are working towards a qualification this activity is aimed at you.

  • Cost – £70 per person

Learning to paddle a sea kayak will open the doors to a whole new world of adventure. Paddling to distant islands or around rocky coastline is guaranteed to put a new perspective on things. Our introductory sessions are aimed at people who have limited or no previous experience of paddling a sea kayak. During the session we will introduce you to the equipment and clothing required for sea kayaking. Under the guidance of a qualified coach you will gain confidence and skills that will help you master the techniques needed to get to where you need to go. By the end of the session you should be feel ready to progress to bigger and wilder things.

If you are confident paddling a sea kayak on flat sheltered water why not book onto a progression session and build up some new skills? Our progression sessions focus on paddling in more challenging conditions, bigger seas and more committing journeys. These sessions will also include elements of route planning, conditions forecasting and group management. If you want to take your sea kayaking to the next level then this is the activity for you.
